Refer to this chart to select the right connectors for use on high-strand flexible cables

Here’s how to use the chart:

– Locate the specific cable type across the top, then move down to find your cable size, then refer to the left-hand column for your FX GUIDE.

– For a lug or splice solution, use the FX GUIDE and select the lug and splice you need.

– Note: you can also choose the FX GUIDE by referring to your conductor O.D. information. Just make sure that when measuring your cable diameter to include only the bundle of conductors and not the jacket, as the fit into the barrel only depends on the copper conductor.

Depending on your flex cable application requirement, Greaves carriers a variety of different solutions.  There are Shoo-Pin^tm Adapters for termination into setscrew mechanical lugs, and Shoo-In^tm Lugs and Splices for landing and splicing.  All are of all-copper compression construction, and feature a flared barrel to aid the insertion of the fine strands into the barrel.
